Held to ransom by political bandits

03 May 2016, 07:48  - Karishma.Rampersadh

FOLLOWING the recent Constitutional Court ruling, and specifically with the emphasis placed on the flagrant dereliction of duty, is it surprising that instead of embracing the verdict and punishing the perpetrators, sycophantic and benefitting cohorts are intent on trying to just blow the scandal away, with a sickening monotony of denial and obfuscation?

While these purse plunderers puff away to protect President Jacob Zuma, they simultaneously insult a plethora of honest, thinking and hardworking citizens (aka the South African nation).

Why should we be held to ransom by these political bandits on missions of selfish pursuit and protection of an unbefitting president?

Failure by the ruling party to condemn and remove this man and his merry men and women is a wilful abandonment of all those whose frailty and vulnerability are continually chorused by the selfsame callous cohorts who disgrace the corridors of power and collude and co-operate with the dictums of the man, entrusted as our leader.

Now is the time for all South African citizens to unite in a cacophony of condemnation that will overcome any attempts to justify what could lead to our imminent return to true poverty and perversion.

Those who remain silent are guilty of complicity, and they clearly lack the courage of what should be their convictions.
