Load shedding in Tshwane

06 March 2014, 12:01
We have been cut from power since 08:33 this morning. We are in the Persequor Technopark opposite the CSIR.
We have backup generators, and you can hear generators running all around the office park.

The power is off in various other suburbs of Pretoria East. I know at my sister's office they have a crisis with several chest freezers full of food, and without any backup power. Eskom could surely have known of their emergency situation earlier and better informed the public?

Eskom reportedly said that power shedding should work on 2 hour schedules, but at 11:25 on Thursday the grid power have not been restored.

The website is also unable to find any schedules for the suburbs of Pretoria East.

We have no idea when power will be restored to our area. This situation is unacceptable.
