No, Corky! You are not special! Sorry!

23 June 2014, 12:48

As the mindless forces of the politically correct keep up their crusades, many human deficiencies are now being recategorized as imparting a condition of ‘specialness’ onto its victims. What a laugh!

Today is one of those days where my contrarianism comes naturally. So barring my usual disclaimer to the ever-offended, I’ll simply say that I may again stand accused like one of my mentors, Socrates, of ‘corrupting the youth.’

And it is exactly the youth (35 and under) whom I wish to reach with this and forthcoming articles, because I have realised that the human mind is like concrete: There is a limited amount of time in which it can be poured into and formed by the mold of education and instruction. If this process is not completed with some urgency, then you end up with a solidified lump of ‘grey matter’ that you can do nothing useful with. So it is you, my fellow youth, in whose hands tomorrow will be delivered, and thus my fervent address to you.

As we have seen with the unending Oscar Pistorius trial, there is no reason why disabled people can’t be assholes in their own right (and earn their fair share of criticism for it). This is a step up in equal treatment from their historical role as popinjays (not the parrot, but the target for archery) for the able-bodied ‘elite’ of the time. Hey, don’t be angry at me because our great-great grandparents loved to round up the town’s cripple and spastic members and then have a night of fun in the lion pit—I’m just here to remind us all of our own savage history.

But let’s focus on the present again, where I’m sorry to break it to you so gently … but ADD, ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, Savant Syndrome, Down’s Syndrome, and all other forms of cognitive impairments DO NOT MAKE YOU SPECIAL, AND YOU ARE CERTAINLY NOT F*****G EMPOWERED BY ANY OF THESE CONDITIONS!!!!!!!

Desist from applauding everything some uptight, beigist, politically-correct organic loudspeaker on a moral crusade for ‘equality’ (along with reminders to buy their latest book) has to say, just because they say it on a popular talk show or in their columns featuring in some magazine, which is merely the revival of 18th-century pamphleteering—it was horseshit then, and should be revered similarly today!

What pisses me off is how these beigists force one to adopt their stance on said topic or risk being labelled a bigot who wants to use mentally disabled people as targets for all sorts of mischief and abuse by the able-bodied masses.

This is exactly how one now gets the condition of racism imparted on you. You fire some underperforming idiot of a race other than your own, and now you’re a bigoted fool picking on people because of their race. Nonsense!

And should you think we have come a long way from the days of yore where the mentally unsound roamed the streets like feral beasts, think again! In today’s technologically advanced world, the gap in economic performance between those of sound and unsound mind is simply widening to chasmic levels. The educational demands of today (though wholly inadequate for the near future) are orders of magnitude more mentally taxing than the few thousand English words and 20wpm reading speed that the average Dark Ages peasant got by with.

These conditions are degenerative and will impair you in some capacity. That is the reason why these conditions are categorized as disabilities. Sure, you can have any one of said conditions in a medium to mild case and still become the CEO of a multibillion-dollar IT company; you can still climb mount Everest; and you can still finish your PhD no problem, but despite all of your accomplishments, you will still have some cognitive shortcoming that will prohibit you from doing certain things as well as others can.

Is that loud, offensive, and clear enough for everyone? Good! Maybe that rude shock will serve to rouse you from the passive slumber that the beigists with their rhythmic rhetoric have lulled you into. Now let me help you reclaim your mind from these unearthly mind snatchers.

One must confront these movements for ‘equality’ with the same lethal force with which their adherents march forth in an attempt to dominate popular opinion around certain subjects.

If we do not act now, then soon we will have lobbyists and slacktivists condemning fully-formed parents for not amputating a limb or two from their fully-formed newborn child, or having a part of its prefrontal cortex lobotomised in a show of solidarity with and sympathy towards and recognition for those ‘oh-so-special’ members of society.

You may think I am doing what drunkards do and exaggerate, but this is exactly how feminism and anti-abortionism became occasionally riotous street protest where threats of violence and ruin are sometimes imposed on those who don’t conform to the absolutes proposed by the ever-offended.

When we try to impart a sense of fashion to certain disabilities, and when we overlook the impairments they cause to the bearers, we exacerbate the suffering of those who have to cope—daily—with these conditions. Making them feel special or even elect above the ‘normal’ members of society is not going to encourage them to seek adequate treatment for their conditions where and when severity or urgency necessitate.

Just like you don’t go into a poverty-stricken neighbourhood and tell underperforming children that they need not worry about their grades (because they are special in spite of them), you don’t tell people with disabilities to preserve their flaws! That is irresponsible, and dooms them to a life of endless hand-cupping to procure handouts for what they would otherwise be able to earn for themselves.

More than ever, I feel the obligation to rid western society (and society at large) of these motherfucking liberalist pigs who each seeks to construct his/her own fellowship from any group of people they can rally around some inflated sense of injustice being perpetrated towards some ‘defenseless’ group. This death march of the politically correct will drag us, chain and ankle bracelet (and all attached to it), back into the dark ages, where rumour and opinion forespelled your guilt and sentence (usually death, preceded by first being tenderized thoroughly).

Resist, those of you who love freedom, and save us another round where mental disability comes back in vogue, back in parliament (its already too late for that in South Africa), and back in the judge’s seat. Political correctness is a new and extremist religion that will not stop until it relives the glory days religions enjoyed in the past.
