Of News24 Readers and Keyboard Warriors

19 December 2011, 09:26
It's been a week or so now that I've had anything constructive to contribute to this digital community, and as my grandma always said "If you have nothing good to say, keep your trap shut".

Wise advice.

I can't really say that I have negative things to say about the News24 Reader corps, but, sadly I can't too many positive things either.

What prompted me to write this specific opinion would have to be another News24 reader. He gave me hope, he had a positive vibe and spoke about a South Africa which would be beneficial to everyone and not a select few, he survived an ordeal by a priest and lifted himself up out of what I can only describe in my mind's eye as "Hell" on Earth.

A group was made, for like minded people with a positive attitude, not a political party, but an non-profit organisation which would show the government locally, and my hopes was, internationally, of how people, without the "greed gene" or lust for power could kick start a wave of change.

But sadly, it looks like I ran into another politician and not the Stateman which I had hoped for.

This got me wondering, how many News24 readers and commentators would really stick their necks out for the people and their plight, and are there any people actually on the forum who are "Do'ers" instead of "Talkers"?

If there are some of you out there who are actually interested in doing something positive, and not only talking about that which is negative, then I ask that you please drop me a message on Facebook.

As always I put my faith in people.  I've seen good people doing bad things, and I've seen bad people doing good things.

It was good reading most of you, and I hope that you can convert all that positive thoughts into a positive action.

Vaya con Dios mi Amigos, for the non-believers between us Dos manos que trabajan pueden hacer más de un millar de juntas en la oración
