South African artist signs US recording deal!

21 August 2012, 08:09
TSouth African artist Jmaxx has achieved what few other South Africans have before.

The rising Durban star, born, Justin Eglin, landed a coveted deal with Many Moods Music – a New York based Record label and he is about to embark on a mini-tour of the US to showcase his music to American audiences. With a zest for Hip-Hop and House mixed with a flavour of Pop and a sprinkeling of Rock, he is preparing to explode into the International music scene with a BANG!

“I am so excited and happy to be launching these projects in the United States – I look forward to my performances and the journey ahead!” an excited Jmaxx said. While Jmaxx’s single “Born to be Famous” has been released previously in South Africa – it has now been remixed and remastered courtesy of the Many Moods-team.

Five time Grammy Award nominated (and two-time winning) producer, Craig Bauer has worked his magic to turn the song in a juggernaut House-hit, while the equally skilled producer, Kriss Young has mixed a kicking electro-version of the same track. Jmaxx will be jetting off to the US for a min-tour to showcase these tracks and some new work from his upcoming album “Kiss of the Spider” at the end of September.
