The Arrogance of the ANC is Unacceptable!!

28 April 2014, 05:30

The African National Congress, once a proud revolutionary movement that fought and (many) died for the rights of all South Africans, and for freedom of the African people of this land, has become nothing more than a bunch of arrogant, corrupt, thieving THUGS!!!

From the top down they have shown time and time again that they care nothing for the “poorest of the poor” that they always claim to represent and help.

Our so-called President denies any wrongdoing in the arms deal; denies ever raping an HIV Positive young lady (and advocates that taking a shower afterward is enough protection); denies knowing about the “security improvements” at Nkandla or that state funds were used; makes the public support his numerous wives (with their cars, security details, overseas flights et al) and displays utter disdain for the people who pay his salary! In any other country, a public official with even a whiff of a scandal has the sense to step down, but our Dear Jacob is too arrogant to ever take responsibility for anything!

If the so-called president of this beautiful country of South Africa cared even an iota for the people who pay his salary, he would not be so arrogant! He is repeatedly somehow linked to nefarious deals, questionable actions and wastage of public money and yet he stands there, laughs, gives the public “the finger”and says he has done nothing wrong!

Our Ministers are a joke! Those that are not incompetent are outright STEALING from the very people that they are supposed to serve. They continually spend public money on luxuries that cost more than most South Africans will ever have in a lifetime, and they actually feel that they are ENTITLED to do so! (If I can't use state money to buy KFC etc for lunch,what must I use?)

Our public entities are in a shambles:

The police force is understaffed, corrupt, and violent (with apologies to the few “Good Cops” that we do have.) Bribes are the order of the day, and lost dockets, sale of state resources and outright theft come a close second and third!

The education system is a JOKE! Not only are we matriculating youngsters who are not adequately educated or trained to enter the 'world of work', but once again, almost into the second half of the school-year, there are still many scholars who do not have the necessary textbooks! Of course, this is denied by our Ministers of Education.... again!

Blade Nzimande, the Minister of Higher Education and Training is an embarrassment and nothing more than a Zuma-puppet with his “Nkandla stories are 'white people's lies' statement,” and his defence of the low matric-pass requirement, saying SA is becoming ‘dangerously elitist’ for wanting a better pass-mark."

Our Health Minister, Aaron Motsoaledi, is more worried about providing a "new type of condom that will bring excitement"  (flavoured condoms) for free in the fight against AIDS than in ensuring that the hospitals have sufficient medication for cancer patients.Apparently he is worried that more people are buying condoms than using the state-supplied ones??? (Ever thought this is because of the fact that they are so badly made that they often break?)

The parastatals like SAA and Eskom are sucking the lifeblood out of the economy without providing adequate service; SABC is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the ruling party,just as it was during apartheid, and the programming is pathetic. The list goes on and on…

The Blue Light Brigade is nothing but a bunch of bullying, road-hogs that think that they are above the law; trying to get decent service from the majority of “public officials” is like trying to pull teeth from a chicken. The ANCYL seems to think that their mandate is to spend Millions if not Billions on parties and whip up the unemployed to create havoc and throw faeces all over the place (with the blessing of some "elders" in the ANC)!

It seems like every bloody government employee who has some kind of title has free reign to spend as much public money as they wish, and WHY must they all have so much bloody security? WHO are they scared of?

A small example of how public funds are wasted on security:

The South African Social Security Agency blew more than R10-million meant for the poor on bodyguards from a little-known security company to protect social development spokeswoman Lumka Oliphant and senior officials. (

R1.1-million "for close protection services" for Oliphant and her family;

R2.9-million "for close protection services" for Sassa CEO Virginia Petersen and Renay Ogle, general manager for fraud management and compliance.

R95460 per month since October last year to protect a whistle-blower from KwaZulu-Natal and his family;

R45000 for erecting a fence, R17000 for a toilet, R54000 for a wall, R30500 for a stoep and front gate pillar, R15000 for an electric gate; and

R206000 for a luxury Range Rover for Andile Khanyile, head of operations for VUCA, because he often accompanies Petersen as her "security adviser". (Khanyile confirmed to the Sunday Times that he has a criminal record for drunk driving, which means he is not allowed to carry a gun.)

Our constitution guarantees “Freedom of Speech” yet the ANC has been trying for years to muzzle the Press, especially from printing or airing anything controversial about the ruling party. Reporters have been beaten up, arrested, and harassed for merely doing their jobs.

Just Friday an eNCA reporter, Nickolaus Bauer, was confronted by a member of the SAPS VIP protection services at an ANC Campaign Rally. Bauer was ordered to delete photos of a Gauteng traffic vehicle being used to transport ANC T- shirts from his cellphone. When he refused, the officer forcibly took the reporter's phone and deleted the pictures himself.

According to virtually every dictionary, a bodyguard is “a person or group of people employed to protect a prominent person.” In South Africa, however, the definition seems to be “licensed to be a thug and act outside of the law with impunity!”

This is not the first time that the ANC stands accused of using Public or State resources for Party Purposes, which is, of course, vehemently denied. Thus the actions by Zuma’s thugs - to get rid of evidence of a State vehicle being used as a delivery-vehicle for the ANC!!

This is not about rallying votes; this is purely about the fact that South Africans deserve BETTER than our current government!

I am sick and tired of the arrogance and impunity with which the ANC carry on their “business” and the amount of money that is wasted. I am sick and tired of the ANC blurring the lines between what is Party and what is State! I am sick and tired of a government that keeps the masses mostly uneducated because it suits their purposes - The Apartheid government did the same and we revolted against them! (Yes, WE revolted against them - Freedom for all in SA was not gained solely by the ANC!!!)

Finally, I am sick and tired of living in what is supposed to be a democracy but is a one-party state in which only the inner-circle benefit on the backs of the workers and the most vulnerable and then still have the arrogance, 20 YEARS down the line, to blame it all on apartheid and the whites! To use an old colloquialism, "PUT UP OR SHUT UP" ANC!!

The ANC of today is not the ANC that was voted into power in 1994, and the sooner the voting public realise this and get rid of them the sooner South Africa will become prosperous, infrastructure will improve, more REAL jobs will be available and the sooner those crying for ‘economic freedom’ will actually get a taste of it!!

PS: Before all the haters respond with "You must respect the president" remember, Respect is EARNED, it is not a right!
