As I begin to write this I can already see the hate mail from many quarters. The Zionist lobby, the Palestinian lobby, the Christian lobby, the Muslim lobby. Oh the rotten tomatoes flying at my head, the noose waiting for my neck, the stones to be thrown at me... but I will write it never the less because you know what? I just might be right. If I am not, well then so be it. My apologies to all. But what if I am... ?
Sharon was a war criminal. The pain and suffering he caused to so many people is undeniable. If international law had taken it's course as it should have done, he would have been brought up in front of an International Court for human rights abuses and genocide, tried and convicted and sentenced. But like so many others he acted with impunity and out of the reach of the law. He is not the only one. There are many today who are living in the lap of luxury from their spoils of war and still walk freely. The list of the perpetrators of human suffering in the last 60 years is mind blowing.
At this juncture I would like to point out that the Vatican, the Roman Catholic Church has done the same in the last 1,000 years. In their misguided conviction that the Pope as head of the church has sole rights to the earth, to all bodies and to all souls , they have deemed it necessary to burn people alive who refuse to submit to their authority, all those labelled heretics, in order to fulfil their "religious"obligations to God . The Inquisitions throughout Europe starting with the Cathar Crusades in the 11th century and right up to World War 11, when almost 20 million Protestants and Eastern Orthodox Christians ( along with 6 million Jews) were murdered by the Vatican's emissaries, the Nazi Holocaust led by Hitler, are a testaments to this belief structure.
Sharon in the great scheme of things, has been no less guilty than most Popes and certainly no less guilty than the Jesuits who have terrorised nations across the planet with their covert revolutions and wars, and certainly no less guilty than the horrors committed in Vietnam, South America and the Middle East by the CIA or even the Saudi funded Sunni Muslim Wahhabi- Al Qaeda, who in recent times are committing horrific atrocities all over the Middle East.
But back to Sharon. What did he base his whole life on? A strong conviction in the return of the Jews to Israel, the reclaiming of their land and their country that had been decimated first by the Assyrians and then the Romans so long ago. A religious conviction that G-d was on his side. A man driven by not only a political purpose but a deeply held religious commitment. To such a man time means nothing. 2,000 years, 3,000 years is a blink of an eye. And now he had the chance to restore Israel.
Along with these deeply held commitments was a belief that the Messiah, a Davidic King, to rule the world, would come when
Israel is restored and the Temple rebuilt on the temple mount in Jerusalem. This is a very strong motivation. A race, so he misguidedly believed , chosen by G-d, and a "chosen" race that had a duty to fulfil this prophecy. And so he went about his duty believing that he was justified in every action, no matter how inhumane, no matter how horrific in order to fulfil this purpose. In a Biblical sense Sharon fulfilled prophecy. The Israeli public nicknamed him "The King of Israel," and "The Lion of God," a warrior Davidic Messiah under the banner of the Lion of Judah who restored Israel.
But what if towards the latter part of his life he discovered that he was wrong? What if after all those years of fighting for a cause he realised that the Messiah, when and if he came would not approve at all of any of his actions? What if when these revelations came to him the sudden and terrifying reality hit that he had not been doing G-d's work at all? What if he suddenly stood before G-d with blood on his hands and felt totally ashamed? What then?
A brave man, a strong man would seek redemption. A brave man, a strong man would immediately go about setting things right. And a brave man, a strong man, which Sharon certainly was, might even possibly hold a press conference and make a speech like this one:
"... we cannot continue holding under occupation... and it is occupation, you might not like this word, but it's really an occupation. to hold 3.5 million Palestinians under occupation, is, in my opinion, a very bad thing. It cannot continue forever. Do you want to remain, forever, in Jenin, in Nablus, in Ramallah, in Bethlehem, for ever? I don't think it's right."
There is only one thing that could have turned Sharon around in such a dramatic way. His religious beliefs and a complete conversion to another way of thinking. But how? I strongly suspect the answer lies with Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri . This highly respected man said he had seen Messiah, he also said on the websites Kaduri.net and Nfc:
“It is hard for many good people in the society to understand the person of the Messiah. The leadership and order of a Messiah of flesh and blood is hard to accept for many in the nation. As leader, the Messiah will not hold any office, but will be among the people and use the media to communicate. His reign will be pure and without personal or political desire. During his dominion, only righteousness and truth will reign."
This does not describe a Davidic Messiah Warrior King marching under the banner of Judah and setting all righteousness aside, lying and deceiving in an orgy of mass murder for political, religious and racial supremacy . Messiah will seek no "personal or political"gain says Kaduri. Nor does it support Gentile nations of the world worshipping outside the city walls of Jerusalem in an Apartheid system (the Goyim/ cattle of the world there to serve the Jew) and the "chosen" race, the Jew, being the only people allowed within or even near the Temple... now does it? Nor does it specify any particular group, "the people" refers to humanity.
And what of the Temple? What if Sharon discovered that there is no archaeological evidence for the first Temple at all and the only ruins that exist are those of the second Temple built after the return of the Jews from Babylon? What if he discovered that the stories of Solomon, parts of Psalms and Proverbs were transcribed into Aramaic from Egyptian texts? What if he learnt that even the Ten Commandments originated from the Egyptian Book of "The Coming Forth Of Day" and that even the Cabala originates in ancient Egypt and is based on the the study of the constellations in the sky? What if he discovered that the Messiah is not a Davidic King descended from the Tribe of Judah, from Ruth the Moabite, Tamar the Canaanite and Leah? What if Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri told him who the Saviour really is? What if all this information took a man totally committed to one purpose his whole life and completely turned him around? What of redemption? Are we to be the judge of that?
It is called psychic shock. When a person realises that the world as they once believed it to be, is in fact something else entirely. This would be enough to bring on a massive stroke which Sharon suffered in January 2006. He then lay in a vegetative state and finally passed in January 2014.
Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri passed in January 2006 and a year later, in 2007, a letter was opened in which he had left a cryptic message about Messiah. It read: ???? ??? ?????? ????? ?????? ??????
"he will raise the people and confirm that his word and law are standing"
The acronym of the first letter of each word suggested the name "Yehoshua." Yehoshua is the Hebrew version of "Joshua" or "Jesus".
Joshua in the Old Testament rightfully has the title of Firstborn of Israel, thereby being the "son"of G-d. ( see: Genesis 1: 48 15-20 & Jeremiah 31) He is descended from Nun the son of Ephraim who in turn was blessed as the firstborn by Jacob Israel. Ephraim is the son of Joseph. Joseph is the descendant of Sarah, Rebbecca, Rachel and his wife was Asinath, a High Priestess and Princess of the Royal Family line of Mosis, being the descendants of the Pharaoh TuthMosis 111. In every major action taken by Mosis, Joshua is there beside him, Joshua ascends Mount Sinai when the Ten Commandments are written and it is Joshua who leads the Hebrews, the Ibiri, into the promised land.
Joshua does not reign as a King but sets up a Republic of Twelve tribes or jurisdictions where the highest authorities are the Judges of Israel, one of the first judges being a woman called Deborah. This is not a patriarchal society or a monarchy, but a society where the law is applicable to all and nobody is immune and where women can sit alongside men in equal positions.
The whole purpose of the Exodus was to achieve freedom from the slavery of tyranny and autocratic dictatorship where laws were decreed by the whim of the King or Pharaoh, where judgement is trial by ordeal and even detention without trial and where those in power, the elite, had impunity from the law while others less affluent did not.
Joshua established a system of equality before the law where we are entitled to our own defence and have witnesses to speak on our behalf, a system where the law would be written in the hearts and the minds of all the people and nobody would have to teach them their rights.
In the Old Testament, Yehoshua (Joshua) was not a King. The concept of a Monarchy does not form part of the establishment of Israel, one reason being the First Commandment: "I am the LORD thy God Thou shalt have no other gods." Instead he had Judges, the equivalent of a Constitutional Court where Righteousness and Truth are the highest authority, not a Papacy, a Monarchy or a political or even a commerce driven junta. By demanding a King, Israel broke this Covenant. (see: 1 Samuel 8.)
The capital of Israel is Shiloh and the House of G-d is at Bethel, where Abraham saw the land that G-d bestowed on him and Israel ascended to heaven on the ladder in his dream. This is not a Temple made of wood or stone, a point that is underscored during the "Feast of Tabernacles" when the real tabernacle of G-d, the magnificence of the cosmos is observed for seven nights.
In the New Testament we have yet another Yehoshua (Joshua.) This Joshua is also the son of Joseph, his mother is Mary a name that is derived from the word Mizraim meaning Egypt.
This Joshua/Jesus even goes so far as to say that the concept of a "chosen "race is wrong as "...God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham." (Matthew: 3:9) He teaches his followers to love their neighbours as themselves, to do unto others as they would have done unto them and is "among the people" which is humanity.
As for claiming a throne or any kind of Kingship, this Joshua/Jesus is tempted in the desert by the devil and offered all the kingdoms of the world. He turns him down. When the people wanted to make him a king, he left for the hills. When Pilate asked him if he was the king of the Jews, he replied that the words were Pilate's not his own. In line with the Covenant and the First Commandment he says: "... you have one father and he is in heaven.."(Matthew 23:9)
He rebukes Peter and calls him Satan, pointing out that : " .. what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" This Joshua/Jesus offers redemption for our sins and teaches the parable of the prodigal son. He also upholds the law, believing that the accused is entitled to a fair trial with witnesses to speak on their behalf and not a trial by ordeal. (Matthew 5:17) To quote Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri," ... only righteousness and truth will reign..." and "he will raise the people and confirm that his word and law are standing."
Through his example he re-establishes the Covenant that was broken when the people demanded a King. (1 Samuel 8)
I strongly suspect that Sharon had a turning, I strongly suspect that in that turning he was seeking redemption and I strongly suspect that the miracle of Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri was in delivering the message that brought it about.
It is time the world at large had a turning, it is time the world at large sought redemption. This is the message of Messiah.
May the Lord Bless you and keep youMay his face shine upon you
And may he give you peace.
