The best place to live in SA

22 June 2012, 15:34

Cape Town?

Nah, it's full of wind, the sea is cold and it has Capetonians all over the place. All they have going for them is the view and you can get that by Googling 'free wallpapers'.

Joburg?lol. No, just no. You don't 'live' in Joburg, you 'work' in Joburg.
Durban? If you like sweating like Shaka's crotch after a stick fight, 'bahgains' and poo floating past you when you swim in the sea the 'Debin' is for you! Also, don't trust anything the locals say about how hot the food is. "Not hot at all" is a lie and a trap!
Port Elizabeth?'Die Baai' is so frikkin windy it could be a suburb in Cape Town. Only, it doesn't have Capetonians in it so that's a good start.
East LondonWho the hell lives in East London?
Bloemfontein? It's like Boksburg, but without the East rand mall. Yeah baby! Everyone should live in bloem for a few years before moving somewhere else. If you stay there too long your pants get shorter and your need for shoes starts dwindling. Before long you start wanting to move to Kimberley and that is the ultimate in dutchie devolution!
Kimberly.lol.
Pietersburg slash Polokwane.I wonder if anyone moves there on purpose?  The potholes are so huge you can see lava! (probably why it's so flippin hot there all the time).Just keep driving for a while and you'll get to a lekker place called Duiwelskloof. The locals are friendly and you can go sliding down 'glyklippe' when the Sun starts throwing rays at you. Kief place man!
Any small town in South Africa? Now we're talking!
Opportunities everywhere, uber low cost of living, zero traffic, quality of life, locals are really old and on their way out with their kids moving in and developing stoff dorpies into mod meccas!
Rich sense of community, fast internet in slow towns...
Nou praat jy!
I have lived all over SA and been all over the world. This little dorpie I found has 10 meg internetz and gorgeous views everywhere. I need to earn a tenth of what I used to and I live a faaaaar better life than I ever thought I could.
So dude/dudette/remix... what place do you live in and why is it lekker?
Capetonians... shush! No-one likes your silly mountain.
Come at me bro!
