The demise of e-tolling

19 February 2014, 07:19
It is with a certain smugness that I pen these words. Would not every soothsayer and prophet feel vindicated when their visions of the future turn into cold, hard fact?
I am on record on this forum where I have stated that the demise of the demon Scamral will be announced publicly by the minister who presides over the nefarious scheme.
So it happened, on this very day, when the Dishonourable Dipuo Peters declared that there are CHALLENGES besetting the billing procedures. As we all know, that constitutes an unambiguous acknowledgement that the whole ill conceived venture is doomed and frigged up beyond all imaginable hope of ever reviving the still born Frankenstein.
Rejoice then, you repressed citizens of Gauteng. Deliverence is here! ( Pluck that banjo, Sipho!)
Get in your vehicles and venture forth on the Highways of Freedom!

Email to my wife on the Cape Town...

The object lesson here is that very careful thought has to be given to where we live after retirement. We might want to rent rather than buy so our capital is not at risk. Read more...
