The false prophecies of Jesus Christ.

01 December 2014, 14:50

The last time I spoke about the false prophet Jesus, I was accused of taking Bible verses out of context. I am once again looking at the prophecy made by Christ that those standing in front of him will not taste death before his return. Is there a group of 2000 year old people living somewhere or did baby Jesus lie?

In order for me not to be accused of taking things out of context, or that I am not understanding the scriptures, I am going to discuss the whole of Matthew 16. I assume that the translators that were placed in position by the one true God would have enough knowledge from God not to make errors, so I am totally convinced that my English translation of the Bible is the inspired word of the one true God and cannot be faulty. God decreed it so in the Bible.

I am also not going to entertain that there are some with more insight because they have holy spirit goggles. The words are written, they must be as God decreed them, they must be understood by all, surely the omniscient God would not make the basic error of assuming that every one that read his words would want to interpret them differently. There can only be one way to understand the word of God or it must be considered that God is bad at communicating, or his translators were not well chosen.

Let's start with Matthew 16: 1 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven. 2 He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’3 and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. 4 A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.

In these first verses Jesus talks about interpreting signs, and tells people that they will not be able to interpret the sign of Jonah. If there is going to be a sign, why make it impossible to see? He told them they were wicked and adulterous. Man, Jesus and his followers are really concerned about how others have sex. Why I wonder, I know that when I wasn't getting any I was a lot more concerned about the issue than I am now. It's not my business who you wish to lie with and it's not my concern. Why should it be anyone else's?

Let's continue with verse 5 When they went across the lake, the disciples forgot to take bread. 6 “Be careful,” Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 7 They discussed this among themselves and said, “It is because we didn’t bring any bread.” 8 Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, “You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread? 9 Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? 10 Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? 11 How is it you don’t understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12 Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Just like the ANC and the Youth league, these followers of Jesus were very concerned about their tummies, Jesus was really upset because the Pharisees and Sadducees asked for signs and he could not give them real answers, He was feeling a little guilty about the vague bull he told them and decided it would be better to make them seem like bad folks, not to be trusted, so he spins a folksy tale about yeast comparing it to the teachings of the bad folks. He also basically told them that they should stop worrying about their tummies and focus on something important like their learning. Education is only good if it comes from the right source. Don't listen to propaganda and stuff that contradicts what you know or have been taught by good people.

Verse 13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, Who do people say the Son of Man is?” 14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” 20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.

Jesus was feeling a little insecure and asked who the Messiah was and Simon Peter gave him the answer he wanted, for some reason he did not want them to tell anyone else. He also said he was going to build his church on a rock and not even the demons and beasties of hell would overcome it. It seems that this prophecy also leads nowhere because we get told regularly how Satan is in charge on earth, Him and his imps are ruling until Jesus returns, Evil is in charge and it takes living under grace to not be tempted by the pleasures of earthly desires and goodies. Seems Jesus got this wrong as well.

Verse 21 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. 22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!” 23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

Just a few lines ago Peter was the one who was getting messages directly from heaven, and now he was Satan himself? Jesus prophesied that he he would be killed and raised from the dead. The elders in Jerusalem were going to do many things, well based on the movie the passion of Christ we know he was beaten, made to carry that heavy cross or was it someone else that carried it for him? The scriptures are a little confusing about the issue. Depending on who was talking about it Jesus was the bearer of the cross or Simone the Cyrene was. Besides that there was no one that actually lived at the time that made any notation of this, no historian, no hidden scrolls only the hearsay of historians decades later.

Verse 24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

Works and deeds will in fact make a difference if this part of the Bible is to be believed, but as we know there are other parts that insist that works and deeds are not a criteria for being forgiven and attaining the glory of an eternity singing praises to the most glorious, the one on high, the one true God. If you lose your life for Jesus you will find heaven. It seems the Muslims are not the only ones that can commit misdeeds for their religion, right here Jesus tells you that you can do things that may lose you your life and you will enter the kingdom as long as it was done to glorify the one true god.

The next verse is the reason we are gathered together on this website reading. It does not say till the church is built, or the tearing of the temple or any such gibberish, Matthew 16:28 says“Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

In very simple terms Jesus told those in front of him that he was coming back before they died. No ifs, buts or quid pro quos. I tell you that some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom. Not They will see the rebuilding of the temple, or the church on the rock, they will not be dead before he returns. As there is not one 2000 year old man or woman known to anybody, this means that Jesus lied, his prophecy was false or the end of time happened 2000 years ago and we all missed it somehow.

Jesus was a false prophet and the Bible says he should be put to death, oh wait he was.

Deuteronomy 13:1“If a prophet or someone who has dreams arises among you and proclaims a sign or wonder to you, 2 and that sign or wonder he has promised you comes about, but he says, ‘Let us follow other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us worship them,’ 3 do not listen to that prophet’s words or to that dreamer. For the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul. 4 You must follow the Lord your God and fear Him. You must keep His commands and listen to His voice; you must worship Him and remain faithful to Him. 5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he has urged rebellion against the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the place of slavery, to turn you from the way the Lord your God has commanded you to walk. You must purge the evil from you.

Deuteronomy 18:20 But any prophet who falsely claims to speak in my name or who speaks in the name of another god must die.’ 21 “But you may wonder, ‘How will we know whether or not a prophecy is from the Lord?’22 if the prophet speaks in the Lord’s name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the Lord did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared.
