The government of the leaders under ANC rule

28 March 2014, 09:00
My story is about the direction the country is taking under the leadership of Mr. Jacob Zuma, both as a leader of the ANC and as the President of our beloved country. First and foremost it does not need a rocket scientist to establish that the ANC as a ruling party has been hijacked by lumpen-politicians, the microbes of the state. Since Zuma administration ascended the throne, the country has been engulfed by rampant corruption and arrogance.
Prior to April 27, 1994 the people of this country were promised better life for all under the government of the people by the people for the people. but what we have witnessed in the last twenty years of the so called Constitutional democracy is the better life for the leaders, something pointing to the fact that we are in a government of the leaders by the leaders for the leaders. This anomaly exposes the fact that in 1994 we didn't vote for the people's government but we were voting for the ANC project whose main beneficiaries of state resources are those individuals who regard themselves as the best freedom fighters during the liberation struggle in this country. The poor masses are just being made political zombies who must continue to be the voting fodder of the ruling party (ANC) and  further be beneficiaries of stale food parcels and social grants. Those who are posing critical appraisals to the ANC as a ruling party are labeled as counter revolutionaries and enemies of the ANC.Prince Mashele in book titled: The death of our society, poses a question that: " how do we liberate ourselves from the belief that there is no alternative to the corrupt, incompetent, arrogant and unaccountable government under whose weight the rest of society is collapsing? "A clarion call must now be made to all academics, intelligentsia, religious leaders, Civil Society Organisations, NGOs, CBOs etc, let us rise against these corrupt and incompetent individuals who are destroying our beloved country as I conclude.
