A big thumbs up to Bonang Mohale (ex-president of the Black Management Forum) for stating that African leaders have no right to blame colonisers. He puts Africa's problems down to a lack of management, planning, leading, co-ordinating and organising. That's the result of Africa 'failing to take advantage of a continent endowed with some of the best resources in the world,' as he says. Africans in most of the continent's 54 nations are now poorer today than when they were not free. What was the response from a member of the audience? 'You're being Afro-pessimistic.' No sir, it's not about 'Afro-pessimism' or 'Afro-optimism'. It's 'what is the TRUTH? The truth is ....what IS! The facts. The truth is that, post colonisation, most of Africa has been ruled by Black warlords, who have used their country's natural resources to fill their own pockets, and to hell with the poor. The ANC has tried to do it here, only partially restrained by a free press and the opposition. Now it's time for the blame-game to stop. For leaders to acknowledge the truth of what has happened in Africa. And then, inclusively with all colours of skin, to start looking FORWARDS, and see how we can fix the mess that Africa has got itself into. And to stop blaming the 'colonisers.'
