No doubt why Sassa's system crashed

05 July 2018, 14:03

I cannot understand why Sassa tries to pay social grants to all the people that are benificiaries in one day. No wonder their system crashed.

It would be a lot simpler to stagger the payments over say a week. They could start paying on a Monday a certain section, either by province or perhaps pensioners, then the disabled then by childhood grants.

It would relieve the pressure on any system.

Countries like the UK stagger their payments to beneficiaries.
