Reply to Lindie Langa on Guptas

Dear Lindie,

I take it you weren't perhaps around when Zuma killed the independent Scorpions and replaced them with the Hawks under his control.

So perhaps you don't (won't?) understand that while there ARE charges against the Guptas, they are simply being stalled by the Hawks, because Zuma wants to retain his patronage. Ask Maimane.

Obviously, you also do not seemed to have been a director of a company that has to oversee the fortunes of the company.

For example, if you are selling goods (as a company I was connected with did), then you simply do not sell to clients whom you know to be non-creditworthy.

The banks are commercial entities; they have full right to elect who they lend money to. And if you think that the Guptas are worthy, upright citizens, well, then it's no use debating with you. You have taken a decision not to understand. Their very presence tainted any organisation they were associated with.

It's a free country (so far). So the banks are free to act as they wish. No need for 'audi alterum partum' - hearing the other side. We have heard and seen the other side ourselves a hundred times over.

The Guptas were not prosecuted simply because they are (were?) bosom buddies with our 100% crooked president (who also deserves to go to jail; his legal charges being quashed by fancy legal footwork at the time by people including lawyer Michael Hulley - incidentally one of the directors of the Aurora saga).

You talk about 'the law having to judge them' before any actions are taken. So I guess you won't understand that the powers controlling the Hawks simply would not go ahead with very real charges of corruption. Hence no charges. Please stop being naive, get off your high horse and get real.
