Why electing another Zuma will cause SA's collapse

2017-02-03 16:07

Let's look at the facts. Under Jacob Zuma, South Africa's economy has gone massively backwards.

To quote Herman Mashaba, new DA mayor of Johannesburg, 'There was outright shameless looting under the ANC.' And not just in Jo'burg, but throughout South Africa. Unemployment has hugely increased: there are now far more South Africans on social grants today than there are taxpayers. Our future growth is estimated to be 1% or even less. YET TO PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT, WE NEED A GROWTH OF AT LEAST 5%. Fact.

The main cause of SA's downfall so far has been the man at the top, and his cluster of compatriots who have robbed our Treasury of tens of billions of rands. This same cluster of ANC head honchos have their eyes on a trillion rand nuclear power plant - approximately equal to the entire tax amount SA collects in one year - and have almost certainly signed a deal with crooked Putin and Rosatom. The bottom line is that Zuma should go to jail for the 783 cases of fraud and moneylaundering hanging over his head. If the ANC appoints another Zuma - albeit JZ's ex-wife with whom he has 4 children - then she will absolutely, definitely protect Zuma (and herself). If Pravin Gordhan is kicked out - as recent ANC press releases seem to indicate - the nuclear deal WILL go ahead. The Treasury WILL be raided. South Africa WILL be plunged into junk status. Money will be more expensive to borrow. The poor will suffer even more. Unemployment will get even worse. But Zuma and his henchmen won't care - they will be sitting pretty with billions in their bank account. South Africans, we are at a turning point. Do we need another Zuma in power who will continue to destroy South Africa - and ALL our future prospects, especially those of the poor? Or not?
