Pretoria - Everything is on track for the National Senior Certificate exams which are expected to start in 37 days’ time, Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga said on Friday.
"Examination papers have been set and have been sent to provinces," she told reporters in Pretoria.
"Provinces have appointed markers and all processes are going ahead as planned."
A total of 801 688 people are registered to write the National Senior Certificate this year. Of the total 674 232 were full-time candidates and 127 456 part-time.
Motshekga said the figures for this year's exams are remarkable with more than 10 million question papers printed and ready to distribute to almost 7 000 examination centres.
