There were still many questions around what had happened exactly the night sergeant Johannes Mogale, 38, died – as well as about allegations made by Roux on the same evening.
Roux's agent, James Adams, denied that Roux had been at the strip-club Flamingo's on the night of the incident, as was earlier reported.
The club's owner, Pieter Crous, also denied that Roux had been there. He said there was no visual proof that Roux had been at the club. A dancer apparently said she had seen someone who "looked like Bees" but this man had tattoos, which Roux didn't have.
Police also still had to investigate who allegedly used Roux's credit card at a McDonald's restaurant while he was being held in police cells.
During the past week, a court heard witnesses testifying how they heard Roux screaming to bystanders to call the police while the alleged assault on Mogale took place. Roux claimed he was the victim of theft and robbery and had acted in self-defence.
Executive mayor of Tshwane, Dr Gwen Ramokgopa, asked on Saturday at Mogale's funeral in Shakung in North West that people leave the matter to the courts.
