Johannesburg - A retired Dutch Reformed Church minister has been arrested for shoplifting herbal erection medication from a Pretoria pharmacy, Beeld reported on Thursday.
The 60-year-old man, Stephanus Ferreira van Huyssteen, paid a R500 admission of guilt fine at the Sinoville police station before being released on Wednesday.
An employee at the Dischem pharmacy in Wonderboom Junction saw "the dominee" hide a packet of Maximor, a herbal sexual enhancer, in his pocket, according to the newspaper.
He paid for several other items, but neglected to pay for the Maximor and was apprehended by several security guards as he left the shop.
The minister claimed to have forgotten about the box after stuffing it into his pocket because his hands were full of groceries.
Van Huyssteen, who was known as Dr Fanie, retired as the reverend of the NG congregation in Montana in northern Pretoria in 2005.
