Man arrested in stolen Audi

Johannesburg - An 18-year-old man was arrested in Soweto allegedly in possession of an Audi that belonged to a man who was murdered on the Kliprivier road, said Captain Mega Ndobe on Wednesday.

The driver of the car was found tied up and badly assaulted on the side of the Kliprivier road on Tuesday night.

He died before an ambulance could arrive.

Patrolling policemen spotted the Audi A4, which was being traced by a tracking company, being driven by the 18-year-old.

They arrested him for possession of a stolen vehicle and found the dead man's cellphone inside the vehicle.

The man will face charges of hijacking and murder.

Ndobe said the dead man's name would be withheld until all his relatives had been informed.
