Johannesburg - A man accused of raping and killing his 4-year-old
niece in Brakpan is expected to appear in the local magistrate's court on
Tuesday.
The 23-year-old man allegedly confessed to the crime.
Police said the man was initially charged with kidnapping. Later "he gave in and confessed" and helped the police find the girl's body underneath a bed in her father's flat, on Voortrekker Road, on Saturday 28 December. She was reported missing earlier that day.
A post mortem was conducted to determine what caused the death and whether there was sexual assault.
