Cape Town - Nine men accused of dumping faeces at Cape Town International Airport have been found guilty of contravening the Civil Aviation Act.
EWN reported the men were found guilty in the Bellville Regional Court on Thursday.
Sapa earlier reported that the men, including Ses'khona People's Rights Movement leaders Andile Lili and Loyiso Nkohla, each faced a charge of contravening the Civil Aviation Act.
In December last year, they were cleared of charges of contravening Cape Town's environmental health by-laws and the National Environment Management Act.
The nine members of the movement allegedly threw faeces at the airport on 25 June 2013 and were involved in doing the same on the steps of the Western Cape legislature, in protest against portable flush toilets the city was providing in informal settlements.
Lili was shot and wounded while sitting outside his house last year. The motive was unknown.
