Zim gay activist flees ‘rowdy’ Zanu-PF youths

Cape Town – A Zimbabwean gay activist Ricky Nathanson has reportedly fled his home following unspecified threats by alleged Zanu-PF youths.

According to newzimbabwe.com, Nathanson who was accused of urinating in a female toilet fled his home in Bulawayo after Zanu-PF youths allegedly threatened him with unspecified action for being gay.

Nathanson’s lawyer told the court that his client’s life was in danger and sought a restriction order against the “rowdy youths”.

The report said Nathanson was a well-known gay activist who usually sported female clothes and make-up, and publicly admited being gay.
