Zuma's family troubles exposed

Durban - President Jacob Zuma's household woes are taking such a toll on him that insiders say the family is discussing whether he should only serve two years as president if the ANC wins this year’s elections.

According to the Sunday Times, South Africa’s first family is in crisis. Financial demands by his family and by Nkandla villagers have put enormous strain on his personal finances and the infighting between his wives has added to his woes - so much so that he was apparently forced to seek medical treatment two weeks ago.

It has emerged that up to 200 villagers descend on the Nkandla homestead daily to consult with Zuma when he is at home. They not only seek advice, but also money.

In addition to this, Zuma is believed to support his four wives, most of his 21 children and about a dozen other adult family members.
