With the recent racial tensions in the country, one tour operator in Langa is hoping his team building and tours can make a difference.
This week he conducted an educational township tour for girls from St Cyprians.
“There is a so much fighting along racial lines in the country and I believe that one of the best ways we can address this is to educate each other. This is why we are happy when schools with predominantly white learners can come and see how we live and learn about our culture,” said Lizo Mgobhozi. His company organizes tours and team building operations in and around the townships. “So far the majority of our clients are overseas tourists but we are hoping to get more schools locally and from outside to go into these different worlds so that there can be more tolerance amongst races,” he said.
