Fest to showcase talent

THE small town of Springfontein will be abuzz with the staging of the the fourth Maphodi Festival on 1 October.

The festival is a social and educational entertainment event organised by youth of the town.

It is aimed at showcasing talent, giving local youth in art and culture a platform to showcase their talent, as well as nurturing upcoming artists in the Xhariep region.

This year’s programme will feature music, comedy and live performances by DJ’s.

There will be motivational speakers and exhibition of arts and culture products promoting local entrepreneurship.

Proceeds raised from the event will be donated to local charity entities. Parties interested to participate in the festival can contact Moeketsi “DJ Wonder” Mohlodi on 079-100-5666.
