Man seriously injured in fall on Lion's Head

Cape Town – A man has been seriously injured after a fall on Lion’s Head in Cape Town on Monday morning, a Wilderness Search and Rescue (WSAR) official said.

He fell at the first ladder and chains around 7:00, and lost consciousness, said WSAR spokesperson Johann Marais.

He is believed to have sustained head and chest injuries.

A medical team was attending to the man on scene.

"He is seriously injured and they will package and whisk him off the scene with a helicopter."
