Traffic congestion and drones outside Oscar trial

Pretoria - Motorists are being asked to proceed with caution as police and media converge outside the North Gauteng High Court ahead of the Oscar Pistorius trial.

EWN reports Madiba Street between Paul Kruger and Bosman as well as Thabo Sehume Street are best avoided from 08:00 to 16:00 for Oscar Pistorius's trail.

Road works is expect to add to the pressure of the situation as construction along Pretoria in Paul Kruger Street between Boom and Madiba streets for the A Re Yeng bus service has started.

Alternatives are Sophie de Bruyn Street, Struben, Francis Baard, Nana Sita as well as Pretorius Street.

Those who are headed to the court ahead of the trial due to start at 10:00 are being advised to park some distance form the court situated on Paul Kruger and Madiba streets in order to avoid any gridlock.

Tweets about the high security conditions around the court also included the airborne watchfulness of drones.
