Turkish Airlines launches new flight to Russia's Krasnodar in time for World Cup

Talk about 'Russian' to make ends meet - Turkish Airlines launched a new connection between Istanbul and the southern Russian city of Krasnodar. The new flight was announced on Monday, 7 May, and comes just in time for the FIFA World Cup.

"Turkish Airlines, which flies to the most countries in the world, has added Krasnodar to its flight network as its 303rd destination," the air carrier says.

Krasnodar marks the 10th Russian destination for Turkish Airlines. It follows its predecessor flights to Moscow, St Petersburg, Sochi, Rostov, Kazan, Ekaterinburg, Voronezh, Samara, and Ufa, the statement read.

Ahmet Olmustur, chief marketing officer of Turkish Airlines, says that the company is thrilled to launch flights to Krasnodar and the airline adds that flights between Istanbul and Krasnodar will be offered five times a week in both directions.
