2013-09-16 09:51

The Loeries Awards are in town! With show business allure, Creative Week went live on Saturday 14 September, kicking off a week of creative innovation and acknowledgement that will be showcased in true News24 fashion on the specially created Loeries.24.com website.

The mobile enabled site is part of the Digital and Interactive Communication category sponsorship partnership between News24, The SpaceStation and the Loeries and is designed to showcase the brands, agencies and creative masterpieces entered for the category. Live for a limited time only, the site will play a pivotal role in representing the Awards to the industry and general public alike.

Content ranges from creative from Loeries entrants, to insight into the digital marketing landscape, to daily opinion pieces from industry leaders and insight on the industry from finalists and other agency pundits.

The News24 team is uploading daily updates as the week unfolds and there is a live blog covering the lead up, the event, red carpet pics and the party.

Says Nadia Boucher,24.com Head of Marketing: “For the first time in the history of the Loeries, the Digital and Interactive category has attracted more than 300 entries. As News24 is South Africa’s leading digital news brand, it made sense to partner with the organisers to provide access to Loeries watchers of up-to-date, interactive, online content and awards news.”

Andrew Human, CEO of the Loeries explains: “We wanted to provide a behind-the-scenes experience for those that are at the awards as well as those that are watching from home. The type of dynamic, topical and interactive content that loeries.24.com is able to provide has long been on my wish list for the Awards.”

Concludes Geoff Cohen, CEO of 24.com: “We pride ourselves on providing premium content, breaking news and multimedia, multi-channel formats for people on the move. So who better to partner with than the Loeries to showcase the best of the best in South Africa from a creative perspective? We look forward to the interaction that we invite on the site and the wrap up in 10 days time of a great example of what digital can provide.”
