  • Tower bridge, London: An iconic symbol of London, the bridge takes its name from the Tower of London which is located close by. It is is a combined bascule and suspension bridge and crosses the River Thames. It is sometimes mistakenly referred to as London Bridge, which is actually located a little further upstream.   • Askøy Bridge, Norway: The Askøy Bridge is a suspension bridge which crosses Byfjorden between Bergen and Askøy in Hordaland, Norway. It is 1,057 meters long and has a main span of 850 meters, making it the longest suspension bridge in Norway (Wikipedia)

  • Chengyang Bridge, China: This spectacular bridge is a quaint combination of painting, bridge, corridor, veranda and Chinese pavilion. It has two platforms (at the two ends of the bridge), 3 piers, 4 spans, 5 pavilions, 19 verandas, and three floors. While it looks ancient, it was actually completed as recently as 1916.
