Whale shark washes up at Cape beach

Cape Town - A three-metre whale shark washed up on a picnic site near Kommetjie on Sunday, the City of Cape Town said.

Spokesperson Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said surfers at the Soetwater Resort tried to get the shark back into the water, but were too late to save it.
