Mfundi Vundla is outraged at the attack of Abigail Kubeka

Generations: The Legacy producer Mfundi Vundla is upset about the recent incident that involved the assault veteran singer and actress Abigail Kubeka assaulted.

 “We are deeply appalled and outraged by the recent violent attack on Ms. Abigail Kubeka. We strongly condemn all acts of violence directed towards women,” he said in a statement.

Abigail was allegedly involved in a car crash while driving in Orlando, Soweto The driver of the other vehicle allegedly got out of his car and assaulted her through her car window. She sustained multiple injuries to her upper body.

“This is shameful and must not go unpunished. Law enforcement must kick in and bring the perpetrator to book,” he said.

Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters told the Daily Sun that the suspect fled the scene after assaulting Abigail.

The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) condemned the act and referred to it as barbaric.

“The Commission is shocked and strongly condemns this barbaric act and is particularly concerned by this incident in light of South Africa’s high rate of violence against women, often described as a ‘war on women’. In a society built on the notion of Ubuntu and respect for elders, the assault against Kubeka flies in the face of the South African society we all wish to foster.”

The commission promised to assist Abigail in whatever way she would like to be assisted.
