It took this woman 57 days to find her missing dog.

Carole King from Washington, “never gave up . . . never lost hope,” that she would find her beloved dog, Katie, and even went as far as quitting her job as a postwoman, HuffPost reported.

Carole and her husband Verne lost the seven-year-old Border collie in July when it escaped from their hotel room while they were on holiday in the state of Montana.

In a desperate attempt to find the hound the couple pulled out all the stops, using from night-vision goggles to animal-tracking devices and even set up scent traps by leaving their T-shirts. They spent night and day hopeful of Katie’s safe return, NYTimes reported.

“Every night going to bed, it was gut-wrenching,” Verne recalled. “Is she warm? Did she get to eat today? It tore us up.”
