SID Bacon and his late wife started trading in Amanzimtoti as Plumstead Plumbers in July 1985, with the help of their sons Clifford and Stanley, until the mid nineties.

The boys did their apprenticeship through Plumstead Plumbers and today both run successful businesses in Gordons Bay.

Plumstead Plumbers started off with only one team and over the years have gone from strength to strength. They employed more people and currently have eight teams and two office ladies.

Sid and his wife Daphne, whom he married in 2002, currently run the business and have appointed a manager, Tyler Wessels, who has been with the company for over eight years.

We would like to thank all our clients, old and new, for the loyal support and assure you of our best service at all times.

“We look forward to being of service for the next 30 years. To our staff - thank you very much for the hard work and dedication, because without you guys, the business would not be able to perform the way it does.”
