LAST week was Arbor Week and on Thursday, Kingsway High School were privileged to have past pupil Shaun Callaghan (Army Saints) come to the school and chat to the Green Scorpions club.

Callaghan and the pupils (with the help of our GAs) planted 13 trees in the grounds.

They also let off a bunch of biodegradable eco-friendly balloons, which all contained seeds. Pupils wore civvies and the money collected (R2 546) will be used for new recycling bins in the classrooms. - Supplied
