NICO Jordt and his family thank the public for supporting the Nico Jordt Trust Fund, and especially Jodi Featherstone of Pure Ozone Therapy Centre in Pinetown for offering him free ozone therapy.

In March, the Fever reported that Jordt (48) was suffering with a high acidity disorder. Jordt has developed Tophi crystals on his hands, causing openings in the skin. Due to having a low immunity, he picked up severe bacteria in his hands and is currently unable to work. The only medication that can cure this condition is called Linezolid and it is R7 500 for 10 tablets.

“We are so thankful that the community has generously contributed to the trust fund. Nico is now on a weekly ozone treatment, having been given a machine with an oxygen cylinder by Pure Ozone Therapy Centre. When he went for first treatment, it killed the bacteria and prevented Nico having to fight the septicaemia. He has been using it for the past two weeks and was going well. It also took away the bad smell,” Gwen Jordt said.

Further donations to the fund will be deeply appreciated: Pierau Pharmacy, Standard Bank Hartbeespoort, branch code 013445, account number 410032409, reference number A25569 (Nico Jordt Trust Account). Please fax proof to Pierau Pharmacy at 031 916 7641
