Incompetent and untrustworthy

2015-06-24 06:00

ISN’T it marvellous how many times Eskom has assured the public through the media that there will be no load shedding and then promptly turned off the power.

For example, four times in one week on the coast and then for four hours in one case. The management of Eskom is not only incompetent, but now it cannot even tell the truth.

It appears on good authority that load shedding is largely unnecessary, but is being maintained to bully the public into believing and accepting that further massive increases in charges are legitimate.

If these are granted, it will create the impression that it doesn’t matter how incompetently Eskom is run because the consumer will pay and keep on paying.

It will be a reward for imbecility.

Come on, it’s time we got together and compelled the government to provide competent managers for the country’s largest public enterprise.
