YOGA Tree celebrated International Yoga Day with a free beach yoga session. “Thank you to everybody for supporting the day. Despite the cold winter’s morning more than 30 people attended,” Sharon Moizeau owner of Yoga Tree said.

“We all had a wonderful morning together celebrating the world’s first International Yoga Day on our beautiful home ground in Amanzimtoti. We needed a few minutes to warm our chilly toes and then we were all set,” Moizeau said.

She shared two special quotes on opening. “Yoga takes you into the present moment, the only place where life exists”. “This quote is always a powerful reminder to stay present, if we are living in or constantly worrying about the past, or the future, we cannot possibly be living right now, enjoying the current moment,” Moizeau said.

The second quote: “The five things yoga has taught me Honour your body. Let go of things than no longer serve you. Breathe. Be present – and be okay with it.

“You can achieve more than you think.”

Moizeau said an amazing effort was made by everyone attending the free session, regardless whether it was their first yoga class or their 100th. “It was so inspiring to see.”

International Yoga Day session was completed with a peaceful relaxation on the warm beach sand.

Yoga Tree offers yoga classes from beginners to advance. Join its private lessons and beach yoga. It is now taking bookings for children’s yoga. For more information contact Sharone on 083 463 8744
