Microwave savoury tart

THIS savoury tart from herb expert Marie Bowker, is easy to prepare and makes an ideal lunch-box treat.

Ingredients:4 slices bread500 ml (2 cups) milk250 gram (2 cups) cooked chicken. Any type of meat, vegetable or fish filling may be used as long as it is cooked finely chopped, and the correct measured amount.3 eggs2,5 ml (half a teaspoon) of each salt, mustard powder and pepper.250 ml (1 cup) grated cheese1 medium size onion1 Tablespoon finely chopped parsley

MethodIn a deep bowl soak bread in the milk.Mash bread well and add 3 beaten eggs.Mix well, stir in salt, pepper and mustard.Peel and chop onion finely, add to mix.Add 2 cups of cooked chicken.Add chopped parsley.Add grated cheese and mix well.Spray a dish with and#039;spray and cookand#039; and pour mix in.I used a round dish, 27cm diametre and 4 cm deep.Place dish in microwave onto an upturned saucer.Cook uncovered, for 20 minutes on 50% power.Allow tart to cool for a while. May be served hot or cold
