More Nkandla questions

2015-08-12 06:00

WITH reference to President Jacob Zuma’s Nkandla home, by the time the firefighters remove the child-safety net from the swimming pool, the house has burnt down anyway.

And aren’t all purpose-built emergency water-storage facilities supposed to be above ground?

That way, the water flow is gravity fed, in case someone forgot to buy the diesel, (because of load shedding) that drives the generator, that works the water pump.

Even a few JoJo tanks could have done the job and the water would be free, as it would be storm-water run-off.

ANC MP Thandi Mahambehlala has disputed the pool theory, saying there is no chlorine in the swimming pool.

This is typical of our government’s splurging - build an expensive swimming pool - then don’t maintain it with chlorine.

Please man, we weren’t born yesterday.

Also, the average cost of a luxurious house in the countryside (not Sandton) is probably around R5 million. Here is your R25 million, go and build your five homes.

There is more than enough in the R5 million per-house budget, to have a swimming pool too.
