ON Friday, 22 May at 3.30pm, members of the Amanzimtoti SAPS reacted to a complaint of a body at the foot bridge in Nyathi Road, near the SPCA premises.

“The body of an unknown black male was found lying face-down at the bottom of the embankment, with a gunshot wound to the right-hand side of his upper chest. The deceased is an unknown black male, aged between 25 and 30,” Captain Charlene van der Spuy reported.

The deceased was dressed in a grey overall tied with a black belt, a white T-shirt and a dark-grey jacket and he had no shoes. The SAPS asks the community that if they can assist with any information and the possible identification of the deceased, they must contact the Amanzimtoti Detective Branch on 031 913 1325/6. - Supplied.
