IN support of International Coastal Clean-up Day on 17 September, Amanzimtoti Primary Grade 4 to Grade 7 pupils collected 49 bags of rubbish in the area surrounding the school.

Traditionally celebrated on the third Saturday of September, Coastal Clean-up Day is dedicated to the improvement of beaches, coastal regions and surrounding areas throughout the world and is estimated to be the largest volunteer event in the world. Identifying community drives to support, SBV Cash in Transit sponsored water for the children participating in the drive. The company’s Tanya Bouic thanked Ettiene Botha for assisting in the sponsoring of the clean up.
