DUE to the overwhelming response that has surpassed all expectations, the SPCA is expanding its Scottburgh thrift shop.

“As soon as the next-door shop became available in July we jumped at the opportunity to take it over. Our landlords have been very accommodating by allowing us to break through the wall between the two shops, making it one big area for all the goods on sale, said SPCA general manager, Tracey Girling.

“I would like to thank everyone for supporting our shops at the SPCA premises as well as our Scottburgh shop, and for all the lovely donations we receive daily. All the funds generated from the shops helps us fund our outreach sterilisation drive, which I am very passionate about. So far this year we have managed to sterilise 214 animals from the township areas.”
