Speak up and take action now

2015-07-22 06:00

AREN’T South Africans sick and tired of Eskom by now?

Please man, how are our businesses supposed to survive a total electricity blackout?

We will become another Zimbabwe if we don’t speak up and take action now. Privatise the flow of electricity into the grid, using multiple companies that are willing and have the capability to do it.

Not only would this invite efficiency, but healthy competition too, leading to competitive pricing.

Why are we still using coal like cavemen and women to power our power stations?

South Africa has enormous gas reserves that could power turbines to generate electricity.

Not only would this generate cheaper electricity, it would also reduce the enormous carbon footprint that is left by these coal-powered power stations.

It would also create much-needed employment for our citizens who are struggling in our failing economy.
