Trauma unit upgrades facilities

2015-09-30 06:00

AMANZIMTOTI Trauma Unit (ATU) recently upgraded its facilities, thanks to public donations.

“We would like to thank Lynette Rowe and Tokkie Poultney for their support and for the kind donation of a lawnmower, a computer and a gate motor to the ATU, and Maansie Reyneke from MAG Security Provider, who installed the gate free of charge,” said board member, Ps Johnny Laidlaw.

The ATU said it is no longer involved with the Umdoni Bird Park tea garden on Wednesdays.

The organisation, which relies on public funding for the variety of services offered to the community, is engaging in empowerment initiatives such as using recycled material like old denim jeans and T-shirts in their skills development programme.
