TWO men died in a head-on collision along the R603 in Winklespruit on Saturday morning.

“Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation. “Netcare 911 paramedics and the fire department found some of the injured still trapped in the twisted frame of the vehicles. While firemen used the jaws of life to free the injured from the wreckage, paramedics worked tirelessly to stabilise the injured,” Netcare 911 PRO, Chris Botha reported.

After triaging it was found that two people had sustained life-threatening injuries while two were seriously injured. Tragically, two men went into cardiac arrest and died at the scene despite the efforts from paramedics to resuscitate them. Paramedics treated the injured before transporting them to hospital. - Supplied
