FEVER newspapers aught up with Chef Sabelo Mngomezulu to find out a little more about him and what it takes to be the best of the best. KN: Share a bit about your background with our readers. SM: I am from Ingwavuma, on the northern side of Zululand. I grew up as a child with soccer skills and was respected by my school mates and even my community. KN: Please take me through your journey to becoming a chef. SM: I started as a griller in one of the restaurants in Fourways. The executive chef of that restaurant noticed that I love my job. He paid for me to go to culinary school. After my chef graduation and training, they gave me a recommendation letter and said that any company that hired me would not regret it, as I was good at my job. KN: Give me one word to describe yourself. SM: Team-player. KN: What are your other hobbies? SM: Playing chess and watching cricket. KN: What is your favourite dish? SM: Seafood paella. KN: Where are you now employed and why should people visit your restaurant? SM: I work at Billy G in Suncoast and people should visit our restaurant because we offer quality, tasty, affordable and fresh food every day. KN: What is different about Billy G?
