AFRICA Cares hosted its national conference at the ATKV resort in Illovo Beach, bringing its affiliated members from around the country.
This annual event is designed for leaders, staff, board members and volunteers of life-affirming pregnancy resource centres, maternity homes, and non-profit adoption agencies, as well as professionals in the areas of medicine, counselling, social work andeducation.

“We know we reach our goal from the feedback we get from delegates at the end of the conference and this year was no different,” said Shanno Enoch, operations director for Africa Cares.

“As most of the staff working in these centres volunteer their time and skills, we are thankful to businesses and individuals who, without hesitation, assisted us with sponsorships, thus together we were able to show appreciation to the real champions of our organisation for their commitment and dedication to the communities they serve.

“We would not able to put together a successful conference without the help of people, therefore we acknowledge the following individuals and businesses who made this possible - volunteers, Nestlé, Winkelspruit Kwik Spar, Abbey Mannie and family, Pastor and Mrs Jean Chinniah – Chatsworth Evangelical Centre, Coo-ee, Athlone Park Discount Liqours, Lionsgate Church – Amanzimtoti and Gizelles Kitchen,” Enoch said.
