ASC and Bobbi Bear Initiative

As an NPO ASC has also committed to helping other NPOs such as Bobbi Bear and have placed collection bins at clubhouses to collect essential items and food.

Please support by placing items in the collection boxes, which will then be taken to Bobbi Bear.

Amanzimtoti Tennis Club

Our ladies 1st team played Durban North 1 on Saturday and, unfortunately, lost by two sets.

Thank you to members and friends who came down to the courts to watch the game at 11.30am. Some amazing tennis was played and well done to both teams. The final two matches will be played on Saturday 15 October at home - 1st team against Bellevue 1 and 2nd team against Mitchell Park 1.

Members please note that four courts will be used for these league matches, so social games will be restricted to one court initially then more as the others become available.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Our development clinic reopens on Saturday 15 October. All budding tennis players are welcome at the courts from 9am to 10am.

Madi and Gabriel will be there to show you how it’s done. Members please remember the Bobbi Bear Collection box in the clubhouse.

All donations of food and toiletries for abused children will be greatly appreciated.

Umbogintwini Dog Club

Umbogintwini Dog Training Club would like to welcome the new puppy class to their 10-week course. We hope you and your pups learn many things.

We would like to thank everyone for their contributions to Bobbi Bear. The club has donated R50 to this worthy cause.

Amanzimtoti Sports Centre car monitors

In an effort to try and improve visible security and empower the three car monitors at Hutchison Park, ASC has identified Quinton, Walter and Andreas and helped by giving them uniforms, boots and arranging ablution facilities, etc.

NB – If you are going to support car monitors in the park, please only support these three car monitors, other car guards are not to be supported.

Parks law enforcement only work 8am to 5pm, the rest of the time security concerns are left up to ASC to manage and ASC would like to have identifiable car monitors only especially during busy periods such as 5pm to 9pm.

You can identify them by their blue-and-black uniforms and ID badges.

CANSA initiative

The Purple Toilet - is an initiative by CANSA to raise funds.

At a recent launch at the ASC conference room, ASC kicked off the pledge by donating R500 and nominated Amanzimtoti Cricket Club to pledge their R500, and so it went on.

Thanks goes to Lords and Legends for the catering for the event and also pledging R500.

As it stands:
Amanzimtoti Sports Centre - R500, Amanzimtoti Cricket Club - R500, Lords and legends - R500, Amanzimtoti Rugby Club - R500, Cardinals Baseball - R500, Toti United Football Club - R500.

After a week we are looking good at R3 000 so far from the ASC and Lords and Legends for CANSA.

Please pledge your R500 and nominate someone to take over the toilet - you don’t want to sit on this toilet for too long.
