Anti-Abuse breakfast raises funds

2015-12-23 06:00

ON 6 December, an Anti-Abuse breakfast took place at the Dutch club in the Bluff. Despite the terrible rain, the event continued with great success.

Guest speakers from Operation Bobbi Bear, Isiaah 54 and Against substance Abuse, addressed the issue of woman and child abuse.

Funds were raised for both Operation Bobbi Bear and Against Substance Abuse.

Everyone enjoyed their breakfast and hampers were raffled off to raise funds, generously donated by Beuroseal and Nickey Van Der Westhuizen, Estelle Van Der Westhuizen and Mia Bianchina.

The funds that were raised on the day for Against Substance Abuse are being used to buy Christmas presents for children living in orphanages.

“We urge everybody to share the Christmas spirit with those less fortunate, as Christmas is about giving and not receiving,” Bianca Holman, founder of Against substance Abuse stated.

She thanked everyone for their support throughout the year and wishes everyone a blessed festive season. - Supplied.
